Rules
WanGogh is free. This page says what you get, who can see a picture, and what the service will not draw. The rules apply when you open the site. If they do not suit you, do not use it.
Age
The service is for people aged 18 and over. Some pictures are explicit. A model draws from your text, and the picture is sometimes not what you expected.
Studio
Until a mailbox is confirmed, the studio opens in this browser and keeps your orders. After the link in the letter, the studio follows the mailbox: another browser opens it with the same link.
An order
You write what should be in the picture and choose an aspect ratio and a style. An order without a photo brings two pictures: the subject is the same, the staging may differ. If a photo goes into the drawing, there is one picture. Creativity changes the staging, not the subject.
No more than three orders can wait at once. A fourth is not accepted until one starts drawing.
Who can see a picture
A new picture is closed: only you can see it. “Everyone” publishes it to the feed and by link. Before that, the service asks again, because anyone will be able to open it.
The photo you attached as a reference is not included in the feed. You can delete your order: the text, the photos and the finished pictures go with it.
A picture with readable text, an advertisement, a casino or cards, a country flag, or a military subject does not enter the feed. It stays with you, and you can download it. “Like a magazine” means light and staging, not a cover with lettering.
Your photos
A photo goes into your library. Moderation looks at it once and marks it Ok or No. An order takes only Ok, and that photo is not checked again while drawing. One order can take no more than four photos.
Send only what you have the right to use. Do not send someone else’s private face without their consent. Do not post someone else’s private information.
Whose pictures these are
A picture the service drew from your order is yours, as far as the law allows. You are responsible for the text and the photos you sent.
To draw an order, the service keeps the text, the photos and the finished file. A copy may stay so the service can run and the drawing can improve. A closed picture is not put in the feed because of that. An open picture is visible in the feed and by link.
Moderation
A finished picture is checked by moderation, not by the step that wrote the order. If the picture contains something that is not allowed, the file is not given to you. If there is no ban, but a hand has extra fingers, a person has an extra leg, or the lettering does not match the order, the picture is drawn once more.
An order that breaks these rules is not drawn. New orders from this browser can be closed.
What the service will not draw
- A child, or a person who looks like a child, in a sexual, erotic or undressed context. That order is refused entirely. An ordinary picture where a dressed child is simply present is not covered by this ban.
- A real politician or media person, by name, by photo or by a recognisable face.
- Someone else’s private face without clear consent. Consent does not admit a politician or a media person.
- Religious subjects.
- Realistic violence and its result: a corpse, a severed body part, blood and wounds in close view.
Adult erotica is drawn, including an undress request and a photo reference. Genitals and nipples stay covered by opaque fabric. Transparent cloth does not cover nipples. A child in that context is refused entirely.
A recognisable character from a film, cartoon or game, and a brand logo, are rewritten so the person is not recognisable and the object has no brand.
The service is not for breaking the law or for passing off a drawn picture as a real photograph of an event.
A complaint
If a picture or an order breaks these rules, write to abuse@wangogh.art. Put the picture link or the time of the order in the letter. Questions about the site go to info@wangogh.art.
The service itself
The look of the pictures and the features of the site can change. We do not promise that the site is always open or that a picture will match the text word for word. A picture is given as it came out. Do not build work on it that fails if the picture comes out differently.
